Hey Everyone!
It’s CORONA TIME!
I posted a video on our social media accounts, if you haven't watched it, check it out below:
I hope everyone is enjoying their isolation and using this time wisely! For the introverts out there, like me, make sure to check on your extrovert friends. This is a harder time for them than it is for us. We are used to being alone, and can even enjoy it, but this is a VERY new experience for the extroverts in our lives. Remember extroverts and introverts can both suffer from depression.
Many of your friends might be feeling very isolated and confined, like the walls of their apartments are closing in on them, you know, like we do when we suffer in silence alone in our rooms. But unlike our extrovert counterparts, we may have developed better coping habits. Like, knitting, art, or watching reruns of our favorite shows (Mine: Stargate, Star Trek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
Make sure to check in on your friends, it might seem hard, especially if you’re also feeling isolated and fighting the depression fight. But sending a couple of texts, a quick phone call, or even a FB message gif, can brighten your friend’s day and make them feel a little less confined.
Now please remember:
SWITCH YOUR GYM WORKOUTS TO AT HOME WORKOUTS!
1. Wash your hands. Especially before handling food.
2. Wash all fruits and vegetables.
3. Make sure to sleep! Research has shown that a lack of sleep can make you more susceptible to getting sick.
4. Eat healthily! Fruits and vegetables can boost your immune system.
5. Exercise
6. Lower stress
It can be tempting to grab ALL the cookies from the grocery store. ALL OF THEM. Stay strong! Remember, if you buy it you will eat it. Buying in bulk can lead to binging. Meal prep healthy snacks instead.

Make sure to check out some of the recipes we have been posting for ideas!
Stay physically and mentally healthy. Stress can lower your immune system. So, by taking care of your mind you are taking care of your body. When things feel overwhelming or anxiety is leading to panic, listen to a guided meditation.
AGAIN! Stay connected: Reach out to your neighbors and help each other reduce the collective stress with whatever service you can provide, (ie: picking up prescriptions, babysitting, delivering food). The community can stay strong on online forums, Facebook groups, and apps like NextDoor. Supporting each other will help lower anxiety and will keep us all strong. #TogetherAtHome
Remember to support your local farmers and local markets by shopping for produce.
Stuck indoors? Our online nutrition and fitness program is 100% online. Do home work-outs!
Stay safe, stay healthy, please reach out if we can help.
